Durbanite Ross Campbell's musical career started in the late 80s at the age of 16 as the drummer for Celtic Rumours (featured only on the single Slow Rain). He joined Landscape Prayers with Nibs Van Der Spuy & Didier Noblia in '93 - a more serious instrumental musical venture (one album as the trio was released by Sheer Sound). He and Noblia then joined Urban Creep, releasing two SAMA nominated albums through Shifty Records in '95 & '96. He joined the celebrated improv three-piece Benguela in '96 (who won Best Instrumental SAMA with their collaboration with Tony Cox (4) before joining Fetish in '99 who were Virgin SA's first local signing, releasing a number of critically acclaimed albums through them and later Just Music. He has also toured and recorded with Farryl Purkiss and Simon Van Gend. Mr. Campbell also launched his own independent label, "open record", in 2003 releasing albums by Derek Gripper and Felix Laband.
