A.k.a. Johnny Douglas Edwards, Danny Steigerwald, David Seaton, Jeff Klaven
Royal Jelly was formed by Johnny Edwards after his departure from Foreigner upon the return of Lou Gramm. He teamed up with Danny Steigerwald, Jeff Klaven & David Seaton to create one full length eponymous album. Following the album's release the band was quickly lost in the shuffle as it's label had undergone a merger with Polygram & the management stopped promotion for the album. Despite the single "Ceiling" charting at #22 on Billboard's Alternative Radio Chart, the album wasn't a very big seller and further doomed the band's future. During the band's short lived career they released two singles, both promotional. The first single was "Ceiling", released as a single track CD to radio stations & the second single was "Generator", released in two different formats. The first release of the "Generator" single was a two track promotional CD that featured the Radio Edit & Album version of the song, the second release (the harder to find) featured two additional mixes of the song in addition to the Radio Edit and Album Version. The band performed live on the Jon Stewart show in March of 1995, playing the song "Ceiling" (which was taped & can be found here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsUdHCIlG_A). In an interview from 2014 Johnny would comment on his time in the band by saying: "It was the best thing I ever did musically. That's the only thing I've ever done that I can listen to today without throwing up. I always said if I could record one album I was proud of, I would be satisfied." (source: http://bit.ly/1Rrvbjo)
