Clark signed with Shelby Singleton as an artist and writer, wrote the "B" side of "Harper Valley, PTA" (under the name Clark Bentley and later joined Tyner in formation of the firm, along with Loyd Scobey Jr.. and Lola Scobey. Tyner also acquired Royce Clark Productions, House of Loyd Music (ASCAP); Loyd of Nashville Music (BMI), and management for three other publishing houses.
