Singer / Songwriter of Country and Pop
A.k.a. Ruby Wells
Ruby Wright (1939–2009) was an American country music singer-songwriter. Wright was the daughter of country singers Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright (2). She is credited as Ruby Wells on her earliest records, as RCA Victor did not want her to be confused with the other Ruby Wright (2). In the mid-1950s, she became part of an all-girl trio, 'Nita, Rita & Ruby (Nita of the trio was Anita Carter of the Carter Family). Ruby later sang with her sister Carol Sue Wright as The Wright Sisters.
