Ana Claudia Grigore was born in Medgidia on January 28, 1989 , has a younger brother named Andrew. She graduated from high school of Music "Dinu Lipatti" Acting department, after which she worked in journalism, as editor of two magazines; currently she is a student at Journalism. Ruby chose her stage name after a song by the English band Kaiser Chiefs. She held her first concert in a club in Germany, becoming the first Romanian performer which launched abroad. Her first disc single, framed in the genre of club music, "Touch Me" (2010), was successful in Turkey. That same year, Ruby released her second disc single "Get High", in collaboration with Spanish singer Juan Magan. The song "Touch Me" was nominated for British prizes Online Music Awards 2011 in the category "Best Dance Act". In February 2011, Ruby began collaborating with HaHaHa Production, launching the song "Party Hard". In early 2012, she launched another disc single entitled "Miracle of Love". The song has also had a video directed by Iulian Moga and entered into the national ranking Romanian Top 100, reaching the maximum position number 31. In the fall of 2012, Ruby released his first single disc in Romanian, "Stinge Lumina" produced by Alex Velea and HaHaHa Production, a video directed by Radu Aldea was the video for this song. "Stinge Lumina" is, until now, the most successful single disc of Ruby in Romania, quickly reaching maximum position number 18 in the national ranking Romanian Top 100. She also launched an English version of the song "Turn Off the Lights " and another video, also made by Radu Aldea. In 2014 she launches "De La Distanță", directed by Lazar Cercel. The song has the expected success and Ruby is gaining a new appreciation target listeners at the pop genre. In the same year she launched a new clip, "Tu (Inima și Sufletul)", also a pop song that consolidates the artist on the music market. In February 2015 Ruby released a new video, "Nu Pune La Suflet" in collaboration with What's Up, produced in studios deMoga. The song stationed at # 1 for 6 weeks in Romanian Top 100 and 16 weeks in the top 10. Also raised over 24 million views on Youtube. Also in February 2015 Ruby participating in reality show, "Sunt celebru, scoate-mă de aici!" broadcasted by ProTV television and gets an average rating of 12.5% and a share of 24.1 on the national audience and the artist gets to the final and reaches third place. Immediately after she returned from South Africa launches with Cătălin Moroșanu & Dorian Popa the song "Lasă cucu-n pace" which becomes a true online phenomenon raising over 17,000,000 views. In late September 2015, she launches a new single alongside Dorian Popa, "Bună, ce mai zici?", song that manages to collect in just three weeks over 10,000,000 views on YouTube and reaches the top 10 positions in the Romanian Top 100. In early 2013, Ruby declared that she is engaged with Oxi Cristi, ex-singer of the band Zero and chief-editor of the Bravo magazine. She had a relationship with him since 2005.
