A.k.a. Rudolph Clifford Myhedyn
Born March 11, 1933 in Ethelbert, Manitoba, Canada, to Ukrainian immigrant parents, Rudy Hayden grew up to be a country and rockabilly recording artist and stage magician. Hayden had radio and television gigs before moving to Vancouver and recording for the Aragon label with his new band Rudy Hayden & The Country Boys (11), and later The Golden Nuggets (2). Hayden is credited by some with Canada's first true rockabilly release,"Want Me A Woman," on Aragon 279. His wife was Beverley Hayden (2), who co-wrote music with him and was his on-stage assistant when performing magic.
