Ruth Lowe

Ruth Lowe (August 12, 1914 – January 4, 1981) was a Canadian pianist and songwriter. She wrote the song "I'll Never Smile Again" after the death of her first husband, Herbert Cohen, a music publicist who died during surgery in 1939. She remarried in 1945 to Nathan Sandler and had two sons, Tommy and Stephen. In 1982, the year after she died, she was inducted into the American Music Hall of Fame with an honorary Grammy Award.
