A.k.a. Ryan L. Carson
Ryan L. Carson is the Superintendent and a vocalist with Max Impact, The United States Air Force Band, Washington, D.C. He is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota. A 1999 graduate of the University of Wyoming, Carson earned a Bachelor of Music degree, specializing in voice performance. While there, he garnered a first place award at the Colorado/Wyoming National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition, and was also named Outstanding Male Vocal Jazz Soloist at the University of Northern Colorado Jazz Festival. SCarson was also a distinguished graduate and commandant award finalist at the Noncommissioned Officers Academy in 2003. His former teachers include Clayton Southwick, Carlyle Weiss, Frederick Gersten and Dr. Larry Lee Hensel. Air Force career highlights include working and performing with Lee Greenwood, Chaka Khan, Robert Tiar, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Charley Pride, Rita Coolidge, Kool and the Gang, JoDee Messina, Wynonna, Sara Evans, George Duke, Rueben Studdard, Jeff Foxworthy, Denise Graves, Geena Davis, Julie Roberts, Hillary Duff, The Three Mo Tenors, Elly Ameling, Heidi Grant Murphy, Jesse McCartney, Tony Danza, Bill Conti, The Crowtations, Ronan Tynan, Lonestar, Louis Gosset Jr., Blair Underwood, Melinda Doolittle, Peter Cetera and the late Nell Carter. He has also deployed four times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
