S!a!u!r!u!s! was een Texelse hard rock band uit Den Burg. De band maakte 2 cassette albums, opgenomen in de studio van Freakowitz & Einstein en uitgebracht op het Trumpett sublabel The Birthday Tapes Society: 'Heavy Birthday To You!' (juli 1981) en 'Four Roses Of Heavy Metal' (augustus 1981). Beide albums bereikten de nummer 1 positie in de Texelse hitlijsten. Nadat de band uit elkaar was gevallen bracht The Birthday Tapes Society in december 1981 nog de compilatie cassette 'The S!a!u!r!u!s! Sampler' uit, met daarop een bonus track van hun manager Bob Cylon. De bekendheid van S!a!u!r!u!s! is echter tot Texel beperkt gebleven. Een CD/Mini-Disc versie op Trumpett van 'The S!a!u!r!u!s! Sampler' (TRUM 0110), uitgebracht in februari 1999, kon daar geen verandering in brengen.
