Sándor Kányádi (May 10, 1929) is an ethnic Hungarian poet and translator from the region of Transylvania, Romania. He is one of the most famous and beloved contemporary Hungarian poets. He is a major contributor to Hungarian children's literature. His works have been translated into English, Finnish, Estonian, Swedish, German, French, Romanian and Portuguese.[citation needed]
