One of the most popular and loved Estonian alternative rock bands consisting of people very well known from their earlier bands and projects (especially Allan Vainola known from Vennaskond, Metro Luminal & Alumiinium). They state in their biography that the idea to form Sõpruse Puiestee came as early as 1992, but anyway it is a fact that nobody knew about the group before they released some of their demo material on the internet in early 2003. Musically, with each new album and passing year, Sõpruse Puiestee has moved further away from the traditional indie/alt-rock base, mixing it with a lot of electronics and post-production to really create a sound of their own.
