A.k.a. Sophie Leigh Forsyth Saona Sophie Sugar
Trance DJ and producer from London, UK (b. 1984). 'The First Lady of Trance' - DJ Mag / Armin van Buuren. Sophie Sugar is one of the rising stars of the global trance scene. An established international DJ in her own right and now making waves around the world as a talented and exciting producer, it is easy to see where this young lady is heading. Sophie was always a music lover - playing the piano for 8 years and collecting records from the tender age of 6! In her teens, she became involved in the club scene and fell in love with trance music. After experimenting with mixing she realised she was hooked and in 1999 began DJing. Over the next few years Sophie spent time developing her own sound behind the decks and in the studio, playing across the UK and in Ibiza, and in 2004 was delighted to win the prestigious Gallery/DJ Magazine DJ competition. In 2005 and 2006, Sophie released the hugely successful tracks 'Call of Tomorrow' and 'Isis', on respected labels Galactive and ATCR, both of which received support from many of the world's top DJs including Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. Since then she has recieved remixing duties from top trance artists like John O'Callaghan, Alex M.O.R.P.H., and Sebastian Brandt.
