Alternative and Rock
SADS is an alternative rock band that was formed in 1999, following the disbandment of vocalist Kiyoharu's previous group, KUROYUME. The band started off with a dark-edged, aggressive sound, which eventually evolved to become more melancholic. Despite this change in direction, as well as several member and label changes, SADS remained popular and consistently placed well on the charts until their hiatus began in 2003. SADS was revived in 2010, and they have since released new material. However, as Kiyoharu is currently dividing his time between SADS and KUROYUME, they have yet to resume their usual pace of activity.
