A.k.a. Sj Hasman-Selby

Jazz singer and choir director from Denver, Colorado. In 2001, she landed a job at the then brand-new Silverlake Conservatory of Music, where she currently holds the position of Program Director, director of the SCM Youth Chorales and community choir, and is part of the voice faculty. Though a full-time position, SJ works actively on myriad other musical projects. As a session singer and vocal contractor, she has done countless sessions for TV, studio albums, theme parks, commercials and coliseum shows. As an arranger for live and/or recorded works, she has worked on projects with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Dead Man’s Bones, and a variety of commercial ads. As a live performer she has sung background vocals for several bands for the past 15 years.
