Band, *1985 AU
Rock
Sadistik Exekution was formed in Australia in 1985 by Rok (vocals) and Corpes Thundertrash (drums), after the demise of their short-lived previous band Sadist, along with Claws Mayhem (guitar) and Dave Slave (bass). In 1988 Claws Mayhem was forced to leave the band due to a mental illness and was replaced on guitar by Sandy Vahdanni of Slaughter Lord. Shortly after Sloth (drums) joined the band. During this early period the band released the Demo 1987 cassette and recorded their debut album The Magus, which did not see a release for several years. Sandy left the band in late 1987, and in 1988 they recruited Kriss Hades to replace him. This line-up (Rok, Dave Slave, Sloth and Kriss Hades) would remain in place for the rest of the band's existence. In 1991 their fellow Australians at Vampire Records finally released the long-delayed album The Magus on LP and CD, and Greek label Black Power Records released the Lupercalia / Sadistically Executed 7". These followed up shortly with the self-released demo cassette Suspiral, intended as a promo for their next album, which was to be titled "Spiritual Dynamics"; this album was never released, In 1994 they were signed to Osmose Productions from France, who released their second album, We Are Death Fukk You, the same year, followed by the Demon With Wings CD single in 1995. In 1996 they went on their first tour through Europe and Australia with Absu and Impaled Nazarene. Their shows are remembered as being quite disturbing and sick due to the members piercing their flesh on stage and various other things. Attacks on the crowd were also a common thing. The band eventually left Osmose Productions and in 1997 they released their third album, K.A.O.S., through the Australian label Shock. Shock also released the Sadistik Elektrokution CD single in 1998. They returned to the Osmose roster for their fourth album, 2002's Fukk, followed in 2004 by Fukk II. The band then entered a period of inactivity; many thought they were over and done with until the release of the Tribute To Slayer Magazine split 7" with Nifelheim in 2006, released by US label Nuclear War Now! Productions. That was their final release of new material to date. In 2009 the band played their only live performance since 1999 for the first annual Australian Metal Awards. There have been no further signs of life since, but no official announcement of an end to the band has been forthcoming, so their current status in unknown.
