The lyrics are in the Dundonian dialect of Scots. So for example track 8 "Dinna ast me [eh dinnae ken]" translates to "Don't ask me [I don't know]" in English. "Aninginaneana" is a well known Dundonian phrase meaning "An onion one too" part of a joke explaining nuances of the dialect. The artists involved are likely to be those associated with Michael Marra using humourous pseudonyms.
