Saint Rush aka Ishido, real name Mikkel Rübert Hansen was raised in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark. Grand and emotional music always played a big part in his life. With influences like Vangelis, Maurice Ravel, Hans Zimmer and Sigur Ros he developed a taste for melancholy music. “The way music can help you through difficult times, brighten up your day and even enhance a certain feeling or memory, is simply amazing. And that’s essential to what Im trying to do with my music – its all about emotions”. The Saint Rush sound can best be descibed as deep, driving, thick atmospheric soundscapes - all in all it`s trance music with passion! The journey begins with an education in 3D computer animation. One of the projects included an animation video of a music studio, accompanied by the superb music of William Orbit (Adagio for strings). This music spawned the idea of getting into electronic music and when Ferry Corsten did his remix of the same song, things couldn’t be much clearer. The very first track produced was picked up by Italian label Emotive Sounds, the contract was signed and the track was released in 2006. In short time, the schedule was filled with remix assignments and other releases. Nowadays Saint Rush releases his music on labels like Armada, Solarscape Music, Bonzai Music and many others.. The DJ support has been truly amazing and includes top acts like: The Thrillseekers, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Andy Moor, Solarstone, Gareth Emery and many more. Several releases has been chosen for popular compilations like Dream Dance, TranceMaster and Technics DJ set and has been playlisted on shows like Armin Van Buuren`s A State Of Trance, Tiesto`s Club Life, Markus Schulz`s Global Dj Broadcast and Anjunabeats Wordwide.
