A.k.a. Salvation Alley String Bnd
Hailing from Northampton, Massachusetts the Salvation Alley String Band play original Country music. Incorporating elements of Western Swing, Bakersfield, and Outlaw country spanning from the 1940’s – 1970’s. They have made many stages around New England their home, and are as comfortable at a dive bar as they are playing a festival (FreshGrass/Green River Fest) or opening for country legends (George Jones). Ryan Quinn (guitar/vocals) has a unique songwriting approach, matching lush & tender melodies with post-apocalyptic and at times self deprecating lyrics. Matt Silberstein (Bass) & Matt Jugenheimer (Drums) always lay down a solid backbeat. Sal Al (if you’re into brevity) just finished their 3rd album for RubWrongways Records entitled “Enjoy This While It Lasts”.
