He has performed with Jaki Byard, Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Abdullah Ibrahim, McCoy Tyner, Randy Weston, Al Hibbler, Tito Puente, Machito, Charlie Persip, Chico O'Farrill, Bernard Purdie, Mongo Santamaria, Julius A Hemphill, Fred Ho, Elliott Sharp and was a longtime member of the Brooklyn Sax Quartet.
