Compil. PT 1999 on Remember label
R&B/Soul (Soul)
The songwriting credits for "Chain Gang" are incorrect on the release. Sol Quasha and Herb Yakus wrote a different song called "Chain Gang", a hit for Bobby Scott (see, for example, Chain Gang). The songwriting credits have been corrected above. Also, the credits for "Frankie & Johnny" appear to be based on the version by Elvis Presley. Fred Karger was the musical director for the film "Frankie and Johnny", and Alex Gottlieb was the screenplay writer. The film was released in 1966. Sam Cooke's single was released in July 1963, and the original credit was "Arr. Sam Cooke". © 1999 I.M.C. Music Ltd. Made in Portugal.
