A.k.a. Santiago del Nuevo Extremo
Chilean important and influential folk Canto Nuevo Lateinamerican Fusion Band. Active since 1978. Their song "A Mi Ciudad" is like an hymn from the 80s in the hard dictatorial times of Pinochet. Formed 1977, disbanded 1986. Reunited 1999 and 2008 again. Members: - Luis Le-Bert: vocals, guitar (1978 – 1986 / 1999 – 2003 / 2008 – •). - Jorge Campos: bass (1978 – 1986 / 1999 – 2003 / 2012 – •). - Pedro Villagra: brass instruments (saxophone) (1978 – 1986 / 1999 – 2003 / 2008 – •). - Luis Pérez: brass instruments (1978 – 1982). - Nicolás Eyzaguirre: guitar (1981). - Cristián Crisosto: brass instruments (1982 – 1986). - Willy Valenzuela: percussion (1982 – 1986). - Sergio "Tilo" González: percussion (1999 – 2003). - Carlos Basilio: vocals, percussion (2008 – •) - Juan Caballero: bass (2008 – 2013)
