Messaoud El Medioni, known as "Saoud l'Oranais" (Oran c.1905 - Sobibor concentration camp 1943) was a reputed Jewish-Algerian band leader and proprietor of the original Café Oran. Around 1938 he was the teacher of سلطانة داوود (Sultana Dawoud) aka Reinette L'Oranaise who was later to become the most prominent of alls Jewish-Algerian singers. He was the uncle of French-Algerian pianist Maurice El Medioni.
