Singer / Musician / Producer
Sapphire Adizes is a saxophonist, producer, and singer-songwriter who draws on his background in classical and jazz to create symphonic electronic tracks rich with experimental textures, ethereal vocals, and powerful sax and piano performances. From writing his first sonata at five to composing his first symphony at seventeen, from performing with his jazz quartet at the Lincoln Center Atrium at eighteen to joining the Chainsmokers in their studio and working with Berhana to produce and co-write an EP with over sixty million streams on Spotify at twenty, Adizes has proved himself to be a diverse and subversive artist worth watching. Adizes works in the genre of “present music,” a term he coined to describe the dynamic production that lives at the intersection of institutionalized and non-institutionalized music. Adizes also founded The Avocado Orchard, a recording studio and creative space dedicated to exploring the margins of pop and classical music in the small beach town of Carpinteria, California. Adizes is releasing Wild Boar, his debut album, in 2019.
