A.k.a. Sara J Novak
Sara J has always been surrounded & influenced by music. From her US roots to UK upbringing, sounds as diverse as Dubstep, HipHop, Ska, Indie, Rock & Electro influenced Sara's deep-rooted love of music & songwriting.
Sara J's name & reputation in the world of top-line writing & vocals had been a familiar one on the underground RnB & Garage scene for some time back in 2001. After 2yrs of succesful shows on London Pirate radio station 'Xtreme FM', she started writing & performing on various tracks with J-Sweet and DJ Cameo getting support & airplay from stations including Kiss FM & BBC 1xtra.
As her song writing matured, Sara started to work in more diverse genres of music which led to a chance meeting with top producers Marshall Bird & Steve Bush. Originally from New Zealand, their past productions included The Sterephonics, Beverly Knight, The Darkness & Coline Bailey Rae to name a few. Following the success of their collaborations, Sara J single-handedly secured a publishing deal with Chrysalis music leading to an increase of co-writes in almost all genres of music. To date, just some of her many succesful collaborations include The Stereo MCs, Ben Harris (Dirty Vegas), Sean Genockey (BigLife), DJ Seb Fontaine, Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones) & Neol Davies to name a few as well as releases on Virgin/EMI & PIAS.
As well as continuing to write & 'feauture' on tracks with signed artists & producers in a wide range of musical styles, Sara J is now working on material & rehearsing for her innovative upcoming band project...
