Half sister to Sonny Stitt. The written by credits on "Sax Expressions" are probably Sonny Stitt. Sarah Boatner, the other female singer in the documentary, was the half-sister of saxophonist Sonny Stitt, and she is credited with writing six of the eight tracks — including one called “Mother Tucker” — on his “Sax Expressions” from 1965. (Someone posted the liner notes from the album on a message board that says, in part, “… one of the six originals on this album credited to Sarah Boatner, Stitt’s sister, but actually written by the saxophonist. One reason for this contrivance might have been that Stitt’s composing royalties had in the past been going to publishing companies owned by his former manager
