Sarah Chung Malmstrom has been playing the violin for over 20 years, and studied music at the Seattle Conservatory of Music and the University of Washington. She performed in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the fall and spring tours, and played first violin in Federal Way Symphony Orchestra, Sammamish Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Bellevue. She has been involved in several operas including Bellevue Opera and Lyric Opera Northwest. She recorded for pieces by local bands in addition to films and commercials. She enjoys playing in ensembles as well as giving private violin and piano instruction. Her approach to a memorable performance is to translate the notes on the music to reveal feeling and emotion that will impact the listeners.
