This collection of songs was inspired by the story of Ishtar - the Sumerian Goddess who descended from heaven to the underworld. The Myth of Red tells a story of a woman who has grown restless with her pedestrian life. She was lured down by the dark charms of the Incubus, the infernal lord. She succumbs to the seduction and is lost in his terrifying embrace. Annihilated and left for dead, she is awakened by the plaintive cry of her earthly love. Only after struggling to find her way out of the dark, does she emerge and recognize for the first time the true beauty of light. Sasha Lazard Tracks Information: Stabat Mater IXXI & Stabat Reprise - Derived in part from "Stabat Mater" (G. Pergolesi 1710-1738). Awakening & Awakening (Delirium Remix) - Derived in part from "The Georgian Song" (Rachmaninoff). Ode To Innocence - Derived in part from "Ave Maria" (Giulio Caccini 1545-1618). The Incubus (Le Revenant) - Lyrics from the poem "Le Revenant" by Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867). Forbidden Dance (L'Amour Fou) - Inspired by "Samson Et Dalila" (Camille Saint Saens). Romance - Music by Georgi Sviridov (from musical illustrations for "The Snowstorm"). Temptation - Adapted from "Charmed By A Rose" (Nikolia Rimsky-Korsakov 1844-1908). Angeli - Inspired by "Intorno All Idol Mio" (Antonio Cesti 1623-1669). Paul D. Miller (DJ Spooky) Delerium (Leeb/Peterson) Issued in a jewel case and includes a 10 pages gatefold booklet.
