Alternative and Rock
Satan's Satyrs are the brainchild of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Clayton "Claythanas" Burgess, formed in 2009 in Herndon, Virginia, USA while Clayton was still in high school. Burgess was influenced by both punk rock and doom metal (he has cited Black Flag and Electric Wizard (2) as favorites) as well as drawing inspiration from 1960s & 1970s horror and exploitation movies. Although the band's first demo featured a friend, known as The Ghoul, on guitar, the first Satan's Satyr's LP, "Wild Beyond Belief" was performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Clayton alone. Afterwards, guitarist Jarrett Nettnin and drummer Stephen Fairchild joined the band. In 2013, Satan's Satyrs were invited to play the Electric Acid Orgy, an event curated by Electric Wizard's Jus Oborn at the Roadburn festival in Holland. The following year, Clayton was invited to fill the vacant bassist spot in Electric Wizard. That same year, the group's second LP, "Die Screaming" was released. Current line-up: Claythanas: Vocals, Bass Jarrett Nettnin: Guitars Nate Towle: Guitars (Since 2016) Stephen Fairchild: Drums Past members: The Ghoul: Guitar
