A.k.a. My Scarlet Life
Formerly known as My Scarlet Life. Preston Klik's previous band (My Scarlet Life) earned a devout following before disbanding in 1999. Scarlet Life is a NEW band with a fresh and enticing sound and vision. The new band features hypnotic female vocals (Chandra Clark) over a creative foundation of fiery yet soothing samples (founder and producer Klik). Add the turntable scratching of DJ Skeptik and the electric upright bass of Zebulun and you have a group sound that's simultaneously both more electronic and more organic. The ensemble evokes their trademark sexuality to weave sensuous grooves that draw the listener in. Many familiar pop, electronica and dance music styles are fused together by the band's uninhibited inventiveness and sonic beauty. The notable cover art depicts each band member in a whirlpool of kaleidoscopic imagery, further reflecting the playful, mystical, and sensual feel of the organic yet techno-influenced music.
