They haven't invented the internet, so they have to rely on sending pigeons from city to city to carry all the emails and cat pictures. One of these postal pigeons goes astray and disappears over the English Channel. At precisely that moment, a million light years away - but just next door, a pigeon appears in Scatterbattery's back garden and stumbles over to cough up a tiny parcel. Inside the package are four songs from faraway trenches, transcribed in crude braille on a piece of leaf. There is also a tiny picture of a tiny cat in a tiny bowler hat."
