The debut release on new Sydney imprint, Milk Thistle Records, Scatterbrain’s Ghost Gum EP draws inspiration in equal parts from golden era hip-hop, future beats and the Australian landscape. Vocalist Kiri Cantle delivers a sublime performance, adding soul to the gritty, jazz-inflected atmosphere. Rounding the EP out is a remix of the title track from Sydney producer JV, a Sydney artist named one-to-watch by FBi Radio’s The Bridge. Milk Thistle Records is dedicated to creating and exploring textural sonic environments in a broad range of musical styles.
