Atmospheric Metal from London, UK "Fear of death increases in exact proportion to increase in wealth" - Ernest Hemingway Schönesende is a musical and prose project designed to explore and discuss the Human condition. Taking influence from a series of sources, including the music of Black Metal, Hardcore Punk, Folk, Classical Music and authors such as Ernest Becker, Allen Ginsberg, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Charles Bukowski and John Fante, Schönesende attempts not to vilipend the actions of humans but to look at why we do what we do, to understand the source of our anxieties and what drives us to such ends. Throughout our lives we are reminded of our inevitable demise. Both through institutions and social hierarchies we live in the constant knowledge that we will eventually leave this earth leaving little more than a body which will return to nothingness. However, we create and then offer hope to ourselves. Using comforting, often antiquated ideas that supply us with unthinkable quantities of hope. It's when these ideologies are put in jeopardy that we lash out. Schönesende holds no left hand path or spiritual practice; neither does it sympathize with oppressive and tyrannical ideals. This project, and its exploration of subjects of violence, tyranny, and oppression is not an apologist's view but a way of critically looking at what we do and why we do them. This project costs nothing for me to create and therefor should cost nothing for you to download and listen. However, if you wish to donate money all proceeds will be forwarded on to a charity of my choice, changing with each release. Lyrics and explanations can be found at the Bandcamp page.
