A Colorado native, who grew up in Idaho Springs, Colorado. After finishing up at Berklee College of Music in 1989, he began his career in the audio services industry as a freelance engineer in Denver, Colorado and now own's Scooter's Place in Durango, California. he has worked on projects through the years with: Steve Bailey, JD Blair, Ryan Cavanaugh, Steve Conn, Casey Driessn, Rushad Eggleston, Mary Flower, Nick Forster, Vicki Genfan, Danny Gottlieb, Celeste Krenz, Sonny Landreth, Kenny Malone, Ross Martin, Tim O’Brien, Mollie O’Brien, Noam Pikelny, Chuck Rainey, Darrell Scott, Jeff Strahan, The Subdudes, Derico Watson, Roy Wooton and Victor Wooten. He also leads a secret double life as a live sound engineer. He is currently the chief audio engineer at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College and is involved in several festivals such as the Moab Folk Festival, Four Corners Folk Festival and the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown with Soundsmith Audio. He also plays bass and was a member of Celeste Krenz's Goodbye Band, He performed on Celeste's album Slow Burning Flame which was produced by Tim O'Brien and reached number 11 on the Gavin Americana chart.
