Founded and owned Toybox Records which he ran until 1997. He was creative director / designer at Victory Records in Chicago from 1996 to 1999. Today Sean Bonner is a Los Angeles and Tokyo based entrepreneur, journalist, activist and enthusiast. Bonner co-founded Coffee Common, Crash Space (hackerspace), Metblogs (blog network), and sixspace (art gallery). He is a board member of CicLAvia, a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab and has been a regular contributor to BoingBoing. He's one of the co founders of Safecast and currently serves at Global Director. In 2014 he was awarded a Shuttleworth Fellowship.
