Original release information from 2000: SENNACHERIB (known formerly as CANAAN) hail from eastern North Carolina and feature members of the now legendary(and defunct) SXE band, DAY OF SUFFERING. SENNACHERIB continues in the same Day Of Suffering metallic hardcore direction, but add an ultimately more dynamic death metal style to their fold. SENNACHERIB possesses a truly destructive metal aura, reminiscent of Carcass and Slayer, but also maintaining a slight melodic side not unlike that of In Flames or At The Gates. Ted Gasper’s vocal delivery is simply SICK. First they are deep and gutteral, then immediately slide into sadistic underlying whispers that in turn manifest back into a roaring beast. “Beyond A Wall Of Fire” is sure to please all Day Of Suffering fans, and convert legions of new fans to the gospels of SENNACHERIB. Hell awaits.
