Seppuku Paradigm

Band, *2005 FR
Electronic, Rock and Soundtrack

Seppuku Paradigm is a French electronic duo, formed in 2005 and composed of Cortés brothers named Alexis (Alex) and Wilfried (Willie). Band name is inspired by the self given death of Japanese author Yukio Mishima who committed suicide, according to ancient Japanese tradition (seppuku or hara-kiri) as a gesture of public protest. Between 2007 (with the additional music of Scorpion) and 2010, the duo composed three important soundtracks: Eden Log (2007), Martyrs (2008) and Red Nights (2010). They won the 'Best Original Soundtrack' award at the Sitges Film Festival in 2010 for this last soundtrack.
