Solid Steel (4th July) We're pleased to welcome LA vocalist and producer Seven Davis Jr to Solid Steel, following releases on Must Have and Apron Records. It's a mix themed around his next EP featuring music from Slum Village, Connan Mockasin, Kutmah and his own unreleased music including a sublime cover of the classic Sly Stone track "If you want me to stay". This is what he had to say about his mix; " In support of the upcoming release of my "Friends" EP on Classic Records (July 7 2014), the subject of this mix is about a different side of friendship. Perhaps the worst, which is the awful "Friend-Zone". I dedicate this mix to anyone who is suffering from this condition. Hope this collection of songs, poems and favorite movie quotes will help ease your pain and somehow guide you out of the "Friend-Zone", for good." - SDjr
