The Brazilian death/thrash band, Sextrash was formed in mid-1987 by Sarcófago's former drummer Eduardo "D.D. Crazy", with Oswald Scheid (vocals - RIP), Tomy Simmons (bass) and Rodrigo "Damned Sentry" (guitars). This line up yielded a heavy aggressive and fast sound. In 1988 the band released two demo tapes, a rehearsal with 6 tracks and "Sadistic Screams" with 2 tracks. In 1989 they release their debut EP titled "XXX" under Maggot Records as well as another rehearsal with 3 tracks. The EP reached the fifth place in the play-list of the English magazine Metal Forces. In September 1990, under Cogumelo Records they release their first LP, "Sexual Carnage". It's ten songs display their raw, heavy and unique style. In September 1992 and with a different line-up, they released their second LP, "Funeral Serenade" under Cogumelo Records, recognized by it's technical superiority and considered as "techno-death metal" by critics and fans, both in Brazil and abroad. The album's lyrics were abusive and anti-moralist, reflecting Sextrash's ideas and mixing fantasies with the reality of the world in which we all live. The band launched their first Brazilian tour and proved itself as a true revelation of the Brazilian underground scene. In 1993 again under Cogumelo Records they released the split EP with the Brazilian band P.U.S. They broke up in 1997, after the tragic death of lead vocalist Oswald Scheid in a car crash. He was one of the founders of the band and one of the most charismatic metal vocalists from Brazil. In 2003, another founder of the band, the bassist Tommy Simmons Krueger, decided along with another old member, guitar player Marck (from the "Funeral Serenade" line-up) to regroup the band. They invited Doom, former guitar player from the band Brutal Distortion, to play rhythm guitar and to sing and also invited Quake to play the drums. With a great determination and very experienced musicians, they recorded by the end of 2005 the Sextrash comeback CD, "Rape From Hell" under Cogumelo Records. The album brings back the true Sextrash, bearing in it's songs their trademark brutality. In 2011 the Sextrash has a new formation, with the return of drummer Luck Arnoid who recorded "Funeral Serenade" and stayed in the band until 1994. They are active with renewed energy and lots of stuff taking place from now on. Current line-up: Doom - vocals (2003-present) Daniel Médici - guitar Marck Monthebar - guitar (1992-1997, 2003-present) Tommy Simmons Krueger - bass (1987-1997, 2003-present) Luck Arnold - drums (1992-1997, 2011-present) Past members: Oswald Scheid - vocals (1987-1997) Beto Baialuna - guitar Rodrigo "Damned Sentry" - guitar (1987-1991) Eduardo "D.D.
