Seydouba Soumah is from Guinee, West-Africa. He sings and plays mostly his own compositions in the Sousou language. He plays the Kora and Kounian like he invented the instruments himself. Partly this is true, because he extended the Kounian up to 31 tones and has his own way of tuning. Also the Kora is tuned to fit his own musical language and compositions. In his songs you hear a great musicality and rare composition, flavoured with his unbelievable talent for rhythm. To see and hear Seydouba perform is a fascinating experience ...
