Album UK 1970 on Economy label
Jazz
Although this LP is undated, the SECO catalogue number indicates it was released in 1970. All of material was likely recorded in 1963 or 1964 at the same time as the songs on the four-track EP (Airborne NBP 0003, released 1964) that features A4, B3, and B4. A2 and B1 were previously released as a 7” single (Piccadilly 7N.35034, released 1962) under the name The Shake Keane Fivetet. A two-track single featuring the Hastings Girls Choir, also released on Airborne (NBP 0006) in 1964, was likely recorded at these same sessions, although neither of those two songs appear on this LP. Airborne NBP 0003 contains a fourth track, “Troubles,” not featured on this LP but likely recorded at the same sessions as the others here. The song was re-released, along with A4, B3, and B4, on Johnny Trunk’s label in 2011.
