Shakespeare the One Man Riot (aka Derrick Taylor) is from North Chicago, IL. He moved to LA after graduating in '86 to pursue a rap career. He eventually connected with another MC/DJ named Drew Rock and formed His Majesti and released a single on Egyptian Empire '88. They worked on an album for the label that never got released and some time in the end of the 80s/start of the 90s the group dissolved. Drew Rock started Insane Poetry and Shakespeare The One Man Riot pursed a solo career. He briefly signed with Scotti Brothers Records under the name Shakespeare And The Lumberjack. Later he became a Born Again Christian and formed a new group with his wife simply called Mista & Mrs Taylor and they still make music and do youth ministry work today.-Kevin Beacham
