Shamala attended the Glier Music Institute and Tchaikovsky Music Academy in Kiev where she graduated as a grand pianist. Shamala was a Laureate of international competitions and performed some of the most challenging composers like Rachmaninov and Prokofiev before leaving the classical stage for pop. As the songwriter and keyboard player for the band Sister Siren, Shamala won 2 MTV AWARDS and played at the EMA’s.
