SHANKS AND THE DREAMERS was founded by Iranian American filmmaker, musician Amir Motlagh in 2005. Guitarist and bass player Art Toussi along with drummer Chris Henderson became members in 2007. Amir Motlagh and Art Toussi remained the core until the project went on permanent hiatus in 2010. Shanks and the Dreamers released two albums, A DAY LATE: INSTRUMENTALS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS in 2007 and MY DARLING DIA in 2008 and created several original scores for the films KNOCK. KNOCK. (2007) , PLAIN US (2008) and the feature film WHALE (2010).
