A.k.a. Shawna E. Kuebler
Shawna Kuebler, a native of Ohio, plays euphonium and piano in the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. She is a member of the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band and Hot Brass popular music ensemble. Sergeant Kuebler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Euphonium Concentration from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (2000), and is near the completion of a Master of Music degree from Indiana University. Her teachers have included Mr. Tim Northcut, Mr. Daniel Perantoni, Dr. Paul Droste and Mr. Harvey Phillips. Her piano background began at age 5 studying with Mrs. Katherine K. Beard, and continued into adulthood under the tutelage of her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Burnett. Whilst studying Euphonium at Indiana University, Sergeant Kuebler completed her cognate in jazz piano. Sergeant Kuebler has performed Euphonium with the Jack Daniels' Silver Cornet Band, the Harvey Phillips Tuba Company and the famed Tuba Santas. In 2002, she auditioned for the U. S. Air Force Bands & Music Program and earned an assignment with the Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
