Band,
Electronic and Jazz
Sheep got waxed is the new weird. Their music is complex and approachable at the same time. This trio brings a new perspective into jazz, electronic and academic music. All band members use both their hands and their feet to play music. Guitar, saxophone and drum-set are accompanied by various effect decks and digital percussion. Having a background in electronic music and even heavy metal (during the very first gigs the some members still had long hair), now the band is playing something in between free jazz and experimental electronics, although that is very undescriptive. As one listener reflected after the gig, it sounded more like a mix of techno, footwork, Death Grips kind of trap and George Michael played by early Beatles. So it may leave an impression for listener of any genre. The weird band name is actually an abbreviation of the three band members surnames. So it obliges them to play together forever. Otherwise, they will have to change the name of the band. Have been touring in Latvia, Estonia, Russia, France, UK and China. Have been awarded Vilnius Jazz Young Power Grand Prix. Have released their debut self titled album in 2014. Have been making music for theatre and films.
