Single DE 1995 on Überschall Records label
Rock and Spoken Word (Alternative Rock, Spoken Word)
Side A plays at 33 ⅓ RPM, Side B plays at 45 RPM (printed "UPM" on labels, German acronym for "Umdrehungen pro Minute"). DMM Mastering. Side A recorded live to 2-track on July 2nd 1995, at the Fallout Comedy Club in Chicago. On label track is named "Das Billiardspielerlied". Side B recorded live on February 16th 1995 in Amsterdam. It's basically a cut up of the verbal interaction between the band and the audience, as someone had stolen a green coat (German: Mantel) belonging to a friend of the band that night right before they started to perform. As this item is the only German release from SHELLAC, they called themself SCHELLACK on this release and had everything on the back cover translated into German. The 7" was pressed in an edition of 2000 copies and given away for free at the 1995 Überschall festival on August 28th 1995, located at the Aladin, Bremen, where Shellac performed that night. The remaining copies were sold by a German mailorder company. Issued with generic die-cut inner sleeve and Überschall mailorder info sheet.
