Shlomit Levi is an Israeli-born singer-songwriter originally from Kiryat Ekron. She grew up in Rehovot and is a third generation Israeli from a family that came from Yemen as refugees in 1948. Levi is best known for her work as the female vocalist of the Israeli folk metal band Orphaned Land from 2003 until 2012. She released her first solo album in 2009 and has been performing and touring as half of the duo Shlomit & Rebbe Soul since 2012. They released their first album together in 2015. Levi is currently based in New York City.
