Please note the more often used similarly named artists: -for the 1960's R&B Tamla/Motown/Soul labels artist use: Shorty Long (2) -for the country/rockabilly singer/songwriter often credited as pianist on Elvis Presley 1950's recordings use Shorty Long (3) Hailing from the Boogie Down Bronx, Shorty (also known as "Shorty Longstroke") was discovered by Lord Finesse in the early 90's and given his first taste of wax in 1994 with the single "Shorty'z Doin' His Own Thang" which Finesse produced. Shorty soon fell out of favor with Finesse, and although he managed to release a few more independently-produced tracks, the call of obscurity soon beckoned.
