Born In Paisley Scotland and emigrating to Canada at an early age Hugh 'Shuggy' Milligan developed an early passion for Reggie, he went to Jamaica and honed his craft, as he puts it. ' I was educated at the Reggie school in Kingston Jamaica gaining my Bachelor of hard knocks degree in Riddim & Production' On the Reggie scene as an accomplished singer, drummer and songwriter he collaborated with some of Reggae Musics most influential producers and players such as Yabby You, Jackie Mitoo, Sly & Robbie, Clinton Fearron to name a few, and put out several Reggie albums. Shuggy has been active in the music industry for about 33 years now, and a stalwart of the Canadian Reggie scene playing with groups such as Roots Roundup he is also a producer (co founder of Peacemaker Records ) and equally at home on stage, in the studio, at the mixing desk, mentoring new artists or heading up production. ( He attended the prestigious Vancouver Community Collage studying both Music Technology & Music business). In between his multiple projects he plays with and has been Dark Fire Cloud’s recording drummer over the past 25 years. They have recorded on over 60 songs of his. Now CEO of Thunder Song Productions, a music production & artist development company based in British Columbia in Canada.
