Netherlands, Wageningen-based post-metal band. Shunyata is an instrumental band combining stoner, post-metal and other noises whilst channeling the wisdom of the deceased. The band originally started as Rorschach from 2011 till 2016 hence the name of their first album-release Rorschach and now (2018) consist of the following band members: Kris Devéria - Lead guitars since 2011 Bart Groot - Drums & SFX since 2012 Rens de Boer - Bass since 2015 Thanos Fotiadis - Rhythm guitars since 2016 Shunyata is a Buddhist concept meaning that all things are empty of a self that is separated from everything else. Therefore; everything is emptiness.
